Leadership Series – What is leadership

Pro 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Having taught recently on Leadership, I thought I’d take some time to flesh out a couple of the concepts and ideas as well and clarify some of the things I taught that day for those who may have not have heard the previous teachings on leadership.

Biblical leadership is a style of leadership that is informed and guided by the teachings and principles of the Bible. It is characterized by a focus on serving and caring for others, as well as a commitment to ethical and moral values.

In the Bible, leaders are called to be examples of integrity, humility, wisdom, and compassion, and to use their authority and influence to promote justice, peace, and righteousness. They are also expected to be accountable to God and to those they serve, and to seek guidance and direction from God in their decision-making.

Biblical leadership emphasizes the importance of character and integrity, and views leadership as a stewardship responsibility given by God. It is not based on personal power or ambition, but rather on a desire to serve and help others.
