Who Are We?
Come explore our Mission, Values and Beliefs
Our Mission
Declare Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) to the people of central Arkansas; to study, learn, preach, teach and practice the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith.
To minister to the sick, orphaned, widowed, jailed, and hungry according to the command of Yeshua (Jesus).
To seek the face of God and experience the manifested presence of His glory.
Our Core values
We are Messianic
We choose to reflect the Jewishness of our Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus) and unapologetically worship in a Jewish context. As a Messianic congregation, we worship on Shabbat (Saturday), celebrate the Biblical Festivals, keep varying degrees of Kosher, and sing in Hebrew and English. We do not believe we are right about everything and everyone else is wrong. Nor do we believe that others are in sin for not being more like us. We partner with other messianic congregations and traditional Christian churches who share a love for Yeshua and people finding Yeshua.
We are Forgiven
We are all sinners and all fall short of the glory of God. That is the power to the story of Yeshua. His love is not measured by our goodness. Every time we sin, every time we fall short, every time we have a setback, there is an opportunity for us to return to God. This is reflected in the Biblical idea of Return. God is always calling people to return to Him. We run, we turn away, we fall into sin and things that are opposed to God, but because of His grace and mercy, God says, “Come back, return to Me!”
We are Generous
We believe all that we have belongs to God. God has given us many resources including money, spiritual gifts, talents, and time; and He wants us to be generous with all those resources. One way we give is through tithes and offerings. We believe everyone should tithe to the community to which they belong. Tithe literally means “a tenth” and giving above one’s tithe is called an offering.
We are Servants
Our generosity is not only in finance but the giving of ourselves to the service of others. Yeshua said He came to serve, not be served. As an expression of God’s love, we give of our time and talents, not only to our congregation but to our community because we believe that together we can change the world. If you do not serve others in some capacity then you have missed one of the central messages of the life and
teachings of Yeshua.
We are Family
In Messiah (Christ); everyone, Jew and Gentile, male and female is a member of God’s family, The Commonwealth of Israel. The family of God is big and what ties us together is God’s love for each of us. There is no need for Jews to become Gentiles or Gentiles to become Jews. Every person, with their family background and history, is called to be a representative of their people in the Family of God. God wants people from every nation, every tribe, and every language. In Messiah we belong to the same family and worship God together. We mean to reflect that in our congregation.
We are Together
We were made for community. God designed individuals to grow and flourish in the company of others. Therefore, we reject isolation and going through life alone. We choose to let others into our life’s journey; both the hurts and the joys. We choose to share this life and believe that God speaks into our lives through community. One way this is done is through Torah study groups, following the structure Jethro gave Moses of the 10’s, 50’s, 100’s and 1000’s. This allows us to develop leaders and share the burdens of the community instead of laying them upon one man.
We are Biblical in Structure
The fivefold ministry gifts of Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher, and Evangelist are for the equipping of the saints for ministry to the world. The congregational members are missionaries sent out into their communities and workplaces to affect the world for the kingdom through ministry. We have a pastor who shepherds the flock who is also part of a group of elders and deacons that make up the leadership structure. We make decisions as a multitude of counselors as seen in Acts 15 and Proverbs 11:14.
We are in Pursuit of His Presence
We are in pursuit of what was lost in The Garden, His presence. We seek God’s presence as it was manifested during the dedication of Solomon’s temple and the outpouring of His Spirit during the day of Shavuot. We make room for the Spirit to minister to us through the different gifts mentioned throughout the scripture. We believe The Holy Spirit empowers us to live holy, righteous overcoming lives.
What we believe
We Believe in one G-d as He has revealed Himself in the Scriptures, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our G-d, the Lord is One [echad]’ (Deut. 6:4). We believe the triune nature of God is alluded to in both the Tanakh and Brit Hadasha and does not contradict His Oneness. Echad often implies a composite unity or God is complex in His unity, It’s a mystery, hard to explain and will not be fully understood until the world to come.
We believe that Messiah is spoken of in the Scriptures in terms that only belong to God. Yeshua is the Messiah, the Eternal One, Mighty God, Everlasting Father in whom lives the embodiment of the fullness of all that G-d
is. He is Emanuel, the Word who became flesh and tabernacled among us, and whose glory we beheld, as of the uniquely begotten Son of G-d, full of grace and truth. — Mic. 5:2; Jn. 1:1-14; Col. 2:9; Is 7:14; Is 9:6.
We Believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of G-d, and that our sins have separated us from our G-d. Yeshua’s death and resurrection accomplished the atonement for all who would place their trust in Him as the Passover Lamb who takes away sin. There is no other name or way of salvation except through Him. We become a new creation in Messiah, and are transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of G-d, resulting in the equivalent of spiritual ‘life from the dead,’ becoming born again. — Psa. 53:2f; Isa. 59:2; Rom. 3:12, 23; Isaiah 53; Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 5, 6: Rom 11:15.
We Believe that the Bible, consisting of both the Tanakh (Hebrew Scripture) and the Brit Hadasha (New Covenant) is a Jewish book given by G-d through Jewish writers, primarily about Jewish people, and it presents G-d’s plan, standard for the whole world and describe’s the lifestyle and standards of the redeemed community. It is the only inspired (or G-d breathed), infallible, and authoritative Word of G-d. — Deut. 30:9-16; Matt. 5:17-19; 2 Tim. 3:16-17
We Believe salvation is by faith and trust through the grace of G-d alone, and not by human efforts. We do not earn, merit, or maintain this eternal redemption by our own efforts. — Jeremiah 17:5-9; Eph. 2:8-10; Rom. 8:29-39
We believe it was G-d’s plan from the beginning to reconcile all nations to Himself through Messiah. All non-Jewish people who trust in Yeshua are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel, and as joint heirs, are granted the privilege of following the Torah (G-d’s Instruction), having it written upon their hearts through the New Covenant. There is a spiritual unity and equality among all believers; ‘One new man’ in the Messiah Yeshua. — Gen. 22:18; Isa. 49:6; Jeremiah 31:33; Rom. 11:11-24; Eph. 2:11-22
We Believe Shabbat and the Festivals were established by G-d as an eternal covenant and a rehearsal of G-d’s plan for mankind. Their practice deepens our understanding of Him and His appointed cycles with traditional and Messianic importance. We believe the gentile believers in Yeshua are not obligated but invited to participate in these celebrations as fellow heirs of the promises of God — Ex. 31:12-17; Le. 23; Zec. 14:16; Isa. 58:13f
We reject replacement theology and believe in the continuity of G-d’s covenants with the Jewish People according to Jeremiah 31:35-36, 33:19-26. Part of the fulfillment of these covenants is the physical return of the people of Israel to the ‘Promised Land.’ — Deut 30; Eze 37; Luke 21:24
We Believe G-d’s promise made to Abraham are still in effect today and there is no room for anti-Semitism within any community claiming to know, love and follow Yeshua Ha Mashiach. — Gen. 12:3; I Yochanan (John) 4:20f
We believe in the literal, physical return of Yeshua and the Jewish concept of resurrection as revealed in the Scriptures. It is a resurrection to the final judgment of both the wicked and the righteous, administered by a loving and just G-d. — Daniel 12:2-3; Romans 1:18ff; 1 Cor. 15; Rev. 20-21
We Believe the Holy Spirit comforts, indwells, leads, teaches, disciplines, empowers, and equips all those He regenerates. We believe the gifts of the Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12 and other passages are active and available to the believer today.
